Glen Beck Wow

Hi again --

Just a few Questions: How do we know that Glenn is not a Christian? How do any of us know what is in his heart? Are people assuming that because he is a Mormon that he couldn't possibly be a Christian because the Mormon church has some weird beliefs? I have a few Morman friends and talked to them recently about these things especially about salvation. They told me that they beleive Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of virgin Mary, was crucified on the cross, died, & rose again. They believe that He is the Savior/Messiah sent by God and that He died for their sins. I asked them about some of the weird stuff but they had not heard about it. They said there are different groups of mormons that beleive different things. Like the ones that still believe in polygamy. There are different types of Baptists like Free Will, Southern, Primative and their beliefs vary.

I am not taking time to write this for the sake of arguing or mere talking --I am concerned for you and others who think this way. I want you to know the truth. I want your mind transformed to His truth. God is love. He is forgiving. He is full of mercy. Salvation is a FREE Gift -we cannot earn it. I believe we have to be very careful about judging who is saved is who is not.

Think about it --What denomination has NOT added man made traditions or doctrines to their beliefs? None, ALL denominations are guilty of adding man made doctrines & upholding traditions of men. Examples include: Col. 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive thorugh philosophy and empty deception, according to the traditions of men, according to the elementary principles of the world rather than according to CHRIST. Mark 7:7 But in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men-neglecting the commandment of God you hold to the traditions of men.

Early in this discussion you stated that Glenn is dangerous and responsible for taking people to hell but this is not scriptural as the Bible states salvation & forgiveness of sins happens when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior. (that is it) Which is a good thing...if He based it on some of the crazy things some of us believe we would all be going to hell. It is all about JESUS & what He did for us at the CROSS. We just have to believe it. Please refer to the following scriptures that support this:

Jesus speaking -John 3:16 For God so love the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10 says - That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Romans 10:13 says -For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jesus says in John 11:25 I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me shall live even when he dies. John 12:4 Jesus says - I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.

Romans 4:3 & Galations 3:6- For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him as righteousness."

Because of wrong teaching, I too used to think that certain denominations were going to hell because they believed things differently than I did. God showed me that I was wrong and I repented. He showed me that I am not the Judge --He is. Only our belief in Him will save. When we start adding things to this we are getting into error. Also there are multiple scriptures that tell us not to judge others --Please find several listed below:

Matt 7:1-5 JESUS says Do not judge; lest you be judged yourself. For the way you judge others, you will be judged by your standard of measure it shall be measured to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brothers eye but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother Let me take the speck out of your eye and behold, there is a log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to take the speck out of your brothers eye.

James 4:11-12 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, Tho ONE who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

Romans 2:2-5- Therefore you are without excuse, every man of you who passes judgement, for in that you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge- practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practices such things. And do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment upon those who practice such things and do the same yourself that you will escape judgment. But because of your stubborness and unrepentent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God.

These are pretty strong. I believe God uses things & people (sometimes non-Christians, children, women, etc.) to speak into our lives --The Bible says he uses the foolish things to conform us. Jesus spoke some of the harshest words to the religious people of day because they were more concerned about the rules than they were about people. But that is NOT who Jesus is or who the Father is. They care about the HEART. Jesus is more concerned about relationships with people than the Law. We are called to walk in love. Our focus should be to Glorify Him & not worry about others. God will never ask us about someone else --we can only answer for ourselves.

I am sorry for the length of my response but I am not one to take things lightly when it comes to the Lord. I am a truth seeker. The scriptures talk about the Bereans in Acts 17:10-14 and in Acts 17:11 reads, "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. " Wow!! This is how we all should all be with everything. They were checking behind PAUL (you know the one who wrote most of the New Testament)--but rightfully so-- they wanted to know for themselves instead of relying on someone else to feed them. Paul was amazed & praised them for this.

I beleive whatever we do, whoever we listen to or whatever we read....no matter how awesome & impressive they may be -we have to remember they are people. They can get things wrong. CHECK things out for yourself....Search the scriptures --ASK Him to reveal truth to you. Listen to the Holy Spirit. Make sure you who God is (meaning His personality-character) & know what His word says. If you do -this-you won't be decieved.

The problem is that many Christians are lazy. They want someone else to do it for them. The people told Moses to go talk to God & come back & tell them what to do. So did the Jews--they wanted a King. Paul calls them babies. He tells them they cannot handle meat and need someone to feed them milk with a bottle. The problem with this is that they allow someone else to establish their beliefs and their relationship with God for them. They don't have any discernment. This is NOT healthy. We are supposed to be responsible for OUR OWN spiritual lives & feeding ourselves. Yes, God uses people through books, tapes, church, etc but we are called to Grow Up and become Mature Christians that actually produce fruit. (Good fruit) Baby Christians generally don't produce fruit at all or if they do it is bad fruit that gives Christians a bad name. You know the Carnal ones that look just like unbelievers. Can't tell the difference. They are the ones that generally offend us --if we allow them to. They are the ones satan uses the most to get people to say if that is how Christians are --I don't want anything to do with their God.

Unfotunately, too many people today rely on the Pastor to feed them. They take everything this person says at face value & do not research it for themselves. This is DANGEROUS. Don't drink Kool-Aid. Research it for yourself.

If I am confused about something --maybe that I read or hear --that is a sign for me to investigate it further. To dig, to seek, etc. I pray & ask God to reveal the truth to me. As I search the scriptures with the help of the Holy Spirit so I know the truth. satan knows the scriptures and will twist them just slightly --he even uses Christians not familiar with the Word to decieve more people (unknowingly)--many times we can be decieved if we take one or two scriptures out of contex. This happens alot. We must look at the WHOLE Bible - OLD & NEW to determine what God is saying. Look at examples. Read the WHOLE CHAPTER not just one verse. Read the Chapter before it & after it to determine exactly what is being said and who it is being said to. You can get Jacked up if you are reading something wrong. Example - Is Jesus speaking to Jews that are under the Law??? or is He talking to Born again believers??? - Big difference - you can put yourself in some serious bondage if you don't know the audience being spoken to.

God is fully capable of being the Holy Spirit in each believers life. I hope this sheds light on some things. I will address more later but this is all I can handle for now.

May all who read this be blessed.
