Okay, from reading your post at the top I take it you believe Jesus to be some sort of dual personality who would, in successive sentences, damn a man to Hell then tell that same man, "I love you." Really?
On a much more serious note, I get somewhat offended when a person attempts to put words into Jesus' mouth. If Jesus is the Son of God, which I do believe, then it is not for us to decide God's will or decipher God's mind on this or that particular current event. To do so borders on sacrilege and is the province of the Pharisees.
