No, christians should not lie to their children - regardless, if it is around christmas or any other season/holiday. Do you think it would be appropriate for christians to tell their children that the easter bunny rose from the dead? It is absolutely absurd that one would want screaming, spoiled children asking for more and more stuff from someone they will never meet.
