Do you really think giving thanks for a meal qualifies as intimate, meaningful prayer???
All I do is point to Jesus...pointing to myself is just pointing to filthy rags.
Do you find all confrontation within the Body of Christ to be "judgmental"? What about Paul? Try reading 1 Cor. chapter 5 and see how his attitude hits you. Perhaps you don't understand speaking the truth in love...
Perhaps you were just too angry to listen well, but I actually emphasized the fact that one does NOT need to pray like Billy Graham in order to pray with his wife. I understand the story Jesus told of the two men praying in the temple...one a tax collector and one a Pharisee...do you?
Hypocrisy? Nice try...but no.
I wonder why you are so upset? Do you dislike any believer that challenges the status quo in the church? Perhaps you prefer a more Joel Osteen-like approach...avoid stepping on toes, even if it means that people end up in hell. I care enough to discuss the subjects most Pastors avoid...and I do it without attacking the people who are listening. I challenge, yes. I confront, yes. I care, yes. I desire a more healthy Body of Christ, yes. I try to speak the truth in love, yes. I don't care if it ruffles feathers. I don't care if you like me or not. I only care that I am being true to the call God has placed on my life.
By the way...perhaps you need to spend some more time reading the New Testament. Some pretty tough messages in there, no? Maybe those guys were a bunch of hypocrites as well.
