Will it ever happen again? Is America too far gone? Are her churches just "whitewashed tombs"?
Why does revival tarry...can we do anything to bring another one to America?

5 points to personal revival
From a man of God, Pastor James MacDonald in Chicago...
1. God on the Throne - a picture of holiness. Do you understand His holiness, His glory, His perfection?
2. Sin in the mirror - a picture of brokenness. Do you ever feel broken over your sin? The lost? The state of the Church?
3. Self in the Dirt - a picture of repentance. Get on our knees and cry out to the Lord! Forgive me, a sinner!
4. Christ on the Cross - a picture of Grace. Until you understand points 1-3, this just won't be AMAZING to you.
5. Spirit in Control - a picture of power. Watch what God will do with a broken and contrite heart.
Revival in America - 5 Points to Personal Revival
James MacDonald nails it here. It seems to me that America has been swept by a wave of materialism and pridefulness which has viscously knocked our collective focus off of God and who we are in relation to God. Without our focus on God, we are a ship lost at sea, both as a nation and as individuals. As you said, revival starts in our hearts. God can use a few men and women who are willing to make themselves available. We need to humble ourselves and refocus.
need to see our need
Why Revival Tarries
Why Revival Tarries
because so many churchgoers believe revival is that once a year get together that their church has when they have a visiting speaker. To bring back to life is what I see revival as. The church in America has abdicated its role as those who are to care the most. To much, let the government handle it, thats why I pay taxes. The milk of Christian kindness has been cut back to skim(fat-free). To often we(I) wait for someone else to act and then we (I)follow. Christ has already acted on my behalf and I should be proactive in all situations as they present themselves. Simply serving in a capacity in your church is not what Christ had in mind when He said GO!!! Are you a fisher of men or a keeper of the acquarium? The sea is still full of unregenerate fish. Shouldn't we(I)be doing our(MY) part to catch them. Do you actually care that someone you know will go to Hell without Christ? Have you given them the opportunity to hear about Him? When this becomes the concern of all of Christ's followers, then Revival will occur.
PRAYER WILL ALWAYS BRING REVIVAL.
THE CHURCH IS STILL SAVING SOULS TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD, PRAISE GOD. THANK GOD FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN THAT ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO RAISE A STANDARD OF CHRIST LIKE CHARACTER.BUT REVIVAL IS NOT HERE BECAUSE SOMEBODY OR A GROUP HAS STOP REVIVAL. REVIVAL IS NOT HERE BECAUSE SOMEBODY OR A REVIVAL HAS NOT DECIDED TO BRING IT. THERE IS ONE KIND OF PERSON OR GROUP THAT CAN BRING REVIVAL, THAT IS THE ONE WHO HAS GIVEN HIM OR HER TO GOD IN PRAYER FOR REVIVAL. INTENSE PRAYER BRINGS HEAT WHICH WHEN CONTINUE RESULT INTO FIRE, WHEN THE FIRE DRY UP MEN EVIL DESIRE AND THERE IS NO MORE EVIL DESIRE LEFT IN THEIR HEART, THEN THEY TURN TO GOD FULLY, IN THIS WHOLE PROCESS, PRAYER MUST BE EARNEST AND CONTINUES AFFAIR. PRAISE GOD, REVIVAL IS COMING.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
