Is truth relative...or is it absolute? If it is absolute, where do you find it?
Cold Hard Fact #3:
Absolute Truth Exists and you find it in the Bible!
None of this, "truth is relative" junk...or "what's true for you is not necessarily what's true for me". YOU don't decide truth...GOD DOES.
Right on?
Narrow-minded jerk?
Obnoxious Christian?
YOU tell ME!

Absolute Truth
There are only 2 constants in the universe. God and change. With those two constants, you can find where you are by triangulation. Without 2 constant points, you are lost. What we know of science and the Bible, they do not disagree with the facts as we know them. The interperetation of those facts are whare the disagreement is and interperetation is always in question.
Absolute Truth
I don't think it is narrow-minded to believe that absolute truth is in the Bible. I am a Missouri-Synod Lutheran who was brought up as a Methodist & Presbyterian. From what I recall, teachings in the churches I attended leaned to us being able to interpret what the Bible was saying which left a lot of doors open. Many, many years & life experiences along with much bible study later I truly believe that the Bible is the divine word of God. It is not open to interpretation - what it says is the way it is. Now on some issues that is tough for me and that's when I say "OK God, I don't understand why you say this but you do. I believe & trust in you and know that your wisdom is perfect so that is that." And I don't dwell on it any further but do pray for God to grow my faith. This approach works for me and has helped me find peace with the things I don't understand in the Bible. But I never doubt it.
The Bible says the earth is
The Bible says the earth is flat, doesn't move, sits on a foundation supported by pillars and is orbited by the sun every day... unless someone stops it from going across the sky. That's your "absolute truth." Believe it all you want. No one cares.
